The Dalat Palace Hotel was superb. We were upgraded to a lake view suite, enjoyed just delightful and leisurely breakfasts on the balcony, was
treated royally and was thoroughly relaxed before flying off to Hanoi to give a hectic series of lectures. I also had the opportunity to play 3 rounds of golf arranged by the hotel staff which I enjoyed immensely. The manager invited us up to his villa for coffee, gave us a history of the Palace Hotel and surrounding area and suggested good restaurants.  I would strongly recommend this
hotel for anyone looking for first class accommodations, superb service set in a quiet, elegant venue.

What a find this hotel is. A former very grand colonial building high on a hill overlooking Dalat. The furnishings are those one would expect in Paris. I had a huge room with an even bigger terrace.
I was ill with a serious flu that would eventually put me in bed for a week so took advantage of their wonderful aromatherapy bath in the deep claw footed tub in my bathroom. My aching body just lapped this up! The bath was drawn for me and was accompanied by a platter of the freshest crudités (raw veges) and a large pitcher of icy water Meals were good and the staff could not have been more helpful The only criticism is that on my first nite there, the heavy velvet drapes over the bed head fell in a very dusty pile on my face in the middle of the nite and were not re-hung...the maid stashed them in in the wardrobe However, all in all, a great stay in a fabulous hotel!
